James Toseland and Crash Set To Rock
the NEC
MotoGP
star and acclaimed musician James Toseland will perform
with his band Crash at this year’s Carole Nash
International Motorcycle and Scooter Show.
Toseland, who won the World Superbike crown in 2004
and 2007, has been making waves in his debut season
in the blue-riband MotoGP series. His Yamaha YZR-M1
MotoGP race bike will be on display at the show alongside
the similar machine of 8 times World Champion Valentino
Rossi.
Toseland probably has the biggest fan-base of any
British rider since Barry Sheene, bringing massive
attention wherever he appears both on and off track.
It is this popularity that helped him become a BBC
Sports Personality of the Year finalist last season.
"I'm really looking forward to playing with
my band Crash at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show;
it combines my two main passions of motorcycling and
music. It's fantastic to have a sponsor who provides
me with a keyboard and asks me to perform with the
band as a work commitment! Motorcycling enthusiasts
are always our most supportive and vocal crowds so
we should hopefully generate a fantastic atmosphere
on the Yamaha stand."
Crash will be performing on Saturday 29th November,
Saturday 6th December and Sunday 7th December. James
will also be making solo piano appearances on Wednesday
3rd and Thursday 4th December.
Crash was formed in 2002 by singer/guitarist Paul
Grant-Reason and James Toseland on vocals/piano. The
line-up is completed by Warren Odell, guitar/bass/vocals,
and Gavin Hall on drums.
Taking place at the Birmingham NEC between the 28th
November and 7th December, The Show will feature the
largest collection of 2009 models under one roof along
with a huge array of adrenaline fuelled interactive
features.
Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions,
said: “We’re delighted to be able to have
James Toseland and Crash at the Show, James is definitely
a fans’ favourite and a real entertainer. We
have one of the best line-up of attractions we’ve
ever had and this really adds yet another exciting
element.”
